Member of the board of trustees of the Fundación Renal Iñigo Alvarez de Toledo. President of the Spanish Group of Research in Free Radicals (GEIRLI) from 2004-2007. Coordinator of the CONSOLIDER Program Project “Reactive oxygen species and systems”. Coordinator of the R & D in Biomedicine Program Project FIBROTEAM for the study of Tissue and Organ Fibrosis. Current area of research: Redox Biology and mechanisms of organ fibrogenesis.
