Sangeetha Bupalan participated in the ReelLIFE SCIENCE 2018
Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) have invited ReelLIFE SCIENCE to exhibit at the EU Contest from Young Scientists. This is the official EU Contest for Young Scientists, managed by the Directorate-General for Research of the European Commission. Ireland have only hosted it once before, in 2004, but our young students (i.e. those who win the National BT Young Scientist each year) have gone onto win it 14 times out of a possible 28. The contest is open to the public on September 15-17 (Sat/Sun/Mon) from 10 AM – 4 PM each day, and SFI are hosting a Science zone at the venue (RDS). The plan would be for ReelLIFE SCIENCE to screen some of the best videos from the past 5 years for the public, while also encouraging people to take part this year. They are expecting 10,000 people over the three days, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to bring real science to the general public.
I shall follow up after the event.
