I am Alejandra and I am from Quito, Ecuador. I obtained my bachelor“s degree in the US at Missouri Western State University. I majored in Biology Health Sciences and I was fortunate to participate in three different undergraduate research projects in Ecology, Microbiology and Development Biology. After that I had the opportunity to study at the University of Glasgow and obtain a MRes in Biomedical Science in 2018. There I worked in two different projects one in the field of cancer where I was helping develop an immunohistochemistry technique to describe the tumour microenviroment in bladder cancer. For my second project I studied the effect of 2-bromopalamitate on the insulin signalling pathway in adipocytes. Now I am very happy to be part of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Innovative Training Network TREATMENT
